The most pleasant and conveniently furnished holiday house “Cortijo de la Luz”, built in 2004, is situated in Almuñecar on Costa Tropical in a position below the national street and facing the beach. The property has ~ 2.000 m² with many fruit trees and the street which leads to the holiday house is private. Cortijo de la Luz has a beautiful private underwater-lit swimming pool of ~ 8 x 4,5 m and almost each spot of the property offers superb views to the coast and to the beach. “Playa Cabria”, a small, idyllic and sheltered bathing bay in Almuñecar on the Costa Tropical is within walking distance. Other beaches such as “Playa del Tesorillo” (top photo) are ~20 minutes on foot. There is a little-known cove between Playa de Cabria and Playa del Tesorillo: "Galera Playa" with a gently-sloping beach, ideal for families and children. Along the beaches, you will find a lot of restaurants and Spanish Tapas bars, and only in this region of the Costa Tropical – the most beautiful part of Costa del Sol – you still get delicious Tapas free with your drink! The beaches are within 5 minutes by car (or 20 minutes walking distance). There is also a bus station within 5 minutes on foot, if you prefer to leave your car at home. The 2 holiday apartments "Mar" and "Sol" are on the second level of Cortijo de la Luz, each with a living area of ~ 80 sqm (incl. ~ 8 sqm private terrace).  When renting both apartments Sol & Mar the entire property including all terraces, garden and pool are for your exclusive use. No other apartment is inhabited during your stay! Also, pool and garden care only take place after arrangement, so you can feel completely undisturbed at Cortijo de la Luz.Both holiday apartments have individual access and, in addition to the large pool terrace of ~ 75 sqm on the ground floor, a private sunbathing terrace with furniture and wonderful sea view. Both private terraces can not be overlooked from the neighbouring terrace. The holiday apartments are newly-furnished with almost identical equipment: 2 double bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with 2 single beds) offer accommodation for 4 people. A further guest bed is available as well as child’s cot. Your pet is also welcome on request! There is free WIFI Internet connection and SAT-TV in each holiday apartment as well as gas heating, 1 bathroom with shower and WC and a well-equipped open-plan kitchen with 2-plate gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with freezing compartment, crockery and cutlery, coffee maker, toaster etc. You can park your car right in front of the house. The next beach on the Costa Tropical is ~ 20 minutes on foot and many sights, such as Granada with its world-famous Alhambra, are within an one hour drive. |

Location: The Costa Tropical is the eastern part of the Costa del Sol, south of Granada, and stretches from Nerja to Motril. This part of the coast with North Africa on one side and the Sierra Nevada on the other side is superbly sheltered against the cold European north winds. Because of the subtropical climate with 320 days of sunshine throughout the year, the climate is ideal for "summer holidays" even in winter. Directions: The nearest airport is Malaga Airport (about 1 hour drive), but also Almeria and Granada are an option. A car is recommended and car hire can be arranged.
