Beautiful Casa Estrella in Almuñecar on Costa Tropical in Andalucia, Spain comprises 5 holiday apartments:

The swimming pool (~ 40 sqm) of Casa Estrella as well as it's spacious pool terrace (~150 sqm) with BBQ area and sunloungers are open throughout the year!



In addition to the pool terrace each holiday apartment has its own individual terrace/balcony with terrace furniture for 'alfresco' dining and each terrace offers splendid sea view. From the terraces, you can watch sunrise and sunset, follow the fishing boats and at certain times of year, spot dolphins just off the coast.

Each holiday apartment provides 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, an individual bathroom with shower and WC, a fully equipped kitchen, electrical heating, CD player and radio. 5 apartments also offer SAT-TV, internet access, air-conditioning and a washing machine.

Casa Estrella holiday apartments are located in a romantic and quiet residential area on the Costa Tropical, off the beaten track and without disturbing traffic-noise.

The next beach Playa de Velilla in Almunecar, however, is within only ~10 minutes walking distance and Playa del Tesorillo (see photos above) is about ~15 minutes on foot.

Along the beaches you will find numerous restaurants and Tapas bars as well as grocery stores. Supermarkets such as Lidl, Mercadona offering Spanish specialties and a wide international range are within a 5 minutes drive.

There is a parking place right in front of Casa Estrella.

Almunecar´s water park "Aqua Tropic" at Playa de Velilla Beach is especially popular, attracting old and young alike during the summer with its open air slides, pools, sunbathing areas and children activities.

The town boasts long stretches of sandy beach with several small coves and picturesque hidden bathing bays where you can enjoy almost any kind of water sports.

Along the beaches there are numerous beach bars, called "chiringuitos" and there are also plenty of excellent restaurants of all types in Almunecar including Chinese, Indian, British, French, Scandinavian… but of course mainly with Spanish specialities and delicious Andalucian cuisine.

The Costa Tropical is famous for its free, yes FREE tapas (tasty, small delicacies) which are generally served with every soft or alcoholic drink. Unlike its neighbouring Costa del Sol where you have to pay for tapas ...



Location:
The Costa Tropical is the eastern part of the Costa del Sol, south of Granada, and stretches from Nerja to Motril. This part of the coast with North Africa on one side and the Sierra Nevada on the other side is superbly sheltered against the cold European north winds. Because of the subtropical climate with 320 days of sunshine throughout the year, the climate is ideal for "summer holidays" even in winter.

Directions:
The nearest airport is Malaga Airport (about 1 hour drive), but also Almeria and Granada are an option. A car is recommended and car hire can be arranged.
