Our Villa is just about 90 kilometres east of the city of Malaga and 65 kilometres south of Granada. Salobrena is on the "Costa Tropical" which is located at the eastern end of the "Costa del Sol". It is the coast of the province Granada which stretches from the village Nerja at the west end to Motril at the east end. Villa Verano is managed locally and is our family home. Every effort is made to ensure guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable holiday. Villa Verano sleeps 6 people in 3 perfectly appointed bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms. Also a baby cot will be available. The villa offers excellent living space with a lounge, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The large, heatable swimming pool and surrounding terrace is on the same level as the principal living area adjacent to the main bedroom and bathroom. The villa is situated in an elevated position in the prestigious and private urbanization of Monte de los Almendros (Mountain of Almonds), on the hillside above Salobrena, with superb views of the Mediterranean coastline, Salobrena Moorish castle and village, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The villa has mature private garden with lemons, figs, bananas, grapefruits, mangos, and avocados. The villa is located in a very tranquil location with minimal passing traffic. The urbanization has a large community swimming pool, toddler pool & playground, tennis court and football field which are 5 minutes away and free of charge. There are many things to do at Villa Verano. One can sit at the pool or at one of the many terraces sipping a favourite drink and gaze out towards Salobrena village, Moorish castle, the coastline, and the Sierra Nevada mountains. This view is carried into the night with the beautifully-lit castle and old Salobrena town. And if you like you can swim at the beach in Salobrena which is only 5 minutes or so from the villa or at one of the many others nearby. One can also visit quaint old towns, markets or shop in modern department stores. Salobrena is located between Almunecar and Motril (real Spanish towns), with easy access to Granada, Cordoba and Seville. Golfing is also nearby and the restaurants are excellent and numerous. The seafood is always fresh, the wines are excellent and the prices are reasonable. There is particularly good selection of excellent value local restaurants and tapas bars. Villa Verano offers a truly Spanish experience in a tranquil environment. There are several easy ways to travel to Villa Verano - Salobrena. The nearest Airport is Malaga and a hire car is simple to arrange and it is just an hour or so drive to the house. Salobrena is located between Almunecar and Motril. The jewel of the Costa Tropical, Salobrena, is a whitewashed township clinging to huge lump of rock just back from the shoreline, topped by a Moorish castle and surrounded by lush sugar cane plantations. Salobrena is a mere one hour drive from Malaga, 45 minutes from Granada, and just over an hour to the Sierra Nevada mountains.. Salobrena is also ideally situated for exploring the Alpujarra, some forty minutes away. From October to April, you could be in the happy position of being able to ski during the day and return to sunbathe on Salobrena's long, clean beach in the evening. Due to its authentic tropical climate, Salobrena's weather resembles that of the Caribbean. with a mean annual temperature of 18°C (64°F), ranging from 14°C (57°F) min to 32°C (90°F) max.
