Situated in Almunecar in Southern Spain on the authentically Spanish Costa Tropical in Andalucia.

	Suitable for a couple to an extended family.
	4 bedroom holiday home on the exclusive Fuentes de Almunecar development, near the town of Almunecar, in a typically Spanish area of Southern Spain.
	A local English couple can pick up from airport, will meet and greet you, provide a welcome pack and be available for advice.
	Fly to Malaga, or Granada airports - about 1 hours drive - good choice of flights.
	2 beautiful pools - one an infinity pool, with breathtaking views.
	5 mins to the nearby town, beaches and water park, tennis and stables. Large terrace with panoramic views.
	Numerous beaches, activities and sports available locally. Skiing in the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains Dec to April. Lovely year-round climate with at least 320 sunny days a year.

The house is part of a group of 8 and is on 2 floors.

Upstairs:
Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, twin bedded room, family bathroom with washing machine, 3rd bedroom with bunks (big enough for adults) and a cot.
Downstairs:
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher etc,sitting room, 4th double bedroom, bathroom and WC.
Outside:
Large terrace with panoramic views, table, and chairs and barbeque.

The house can therefore accommodate:
Up to 6 using the 3rd upstairs bedroom.
Up to 8 using the 4th bedroom downstairs.

It's suitable either for single family use, or a larger group perhaps comprising grandparents or another family subject to a maximum of 8 people.

FUENTES DE ALMUNECAR
Fuentes (in English: Fountains) de Almunecar is a newly built, exclusive 24 hour security development on an unspoilt part of Spain's Southern coast, close to the town of Almunecar. It was built by Med Group, who own La Manga Club. It sits on a hilltop overlooking the sea. Great views of the sea, coast and nearby hills can be enjoyed from many places. There are 2 beautiful communal swimming pools-one an infinity pool- with breathtaking sea and coastal views. The grounds are landscaped, with trees, streams, fountains and waterfalls. The homes are spread out across the top and along the side of the hill with panoramic views from most of them. There are some Brits living there, but most owners are Spanish.

There’s a reason you may not have heard of the Costa Tropical, sometimes called the Costa Granada..
In contrast to the neighbouring Costa del Sol it is relatively unspoilt and Spanish in character. You will experience more of the authentic Spain and fewer fish and chip shops, all day English breakfasts and Irish pubs! But you should get a free tapas with every drink. However, recent road improvements now mean it is hardly more than an hours drive from Malaga airport for example. This stretch of coastline takes its name from its sub-tropical climate, which allows the cultivation of exotic fruits and crops such as avocadoes, mangoes, bananas and sugar cane. It is a very diverse Costa, with the 11,000 foot high Sierra Nevada mountains to the north shielding the coast from the worst weather. There are tall cliffs, long sandy beaches and small coves, the coastline is a bit like Cornwall, but with better weather!

GRANADA
An hours drive inland, near to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. City with a lot of historical monuments, cultural events, “bar de tapas” and good restaurants. The Alhambra Palace - One of the most brilliant jewels of universal architecture.

THE SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS
Principal mountain area with The Sierra Nevada national Park and Pradollano, the Sierra Nevada’s popular winter sports resort. Also many sporting activities all year round.

THE ALPUJARRAS
A very beautiful mountain region that forms the southern flank of the Sierra Nevada. Steep and narrow valleys overlooked by small villages. Possibilities of hiking, guided walks, horse trekking, 4x4 and parascending. The area described by Chris Stewart in "Driving over Lemons"

NERJA
Nerja caves and Frigiliana: Attractive white villages in the typical Andalucian style about 20 minutes from Almuñecar. Panoramic views over the coastline. The caves are just before entering Nerja.

WEATHER
There are at least 320 sunny days a year and you will often be able to eat outside or sit on the beach in winter. There are consistently and significantly more sunny days, higher temperatures and fewer rainy days at all times of year than just about anywhere else in Europe. Cooling sea breezes fan the shore for much of the year and there is no rainy season. There will only be serious rain on about 20 days a year, though when it rains it can be heavy. Winds are generally light to moderate, though you can get occasional bad weather. During the winter you will notice the sun higher in the sky and setting about 2 hours later than in the UK (usually about 6pm).
Hopefully the only brolly you’ll need will be a beach one!
Spring and autumn are frequently gorgeous, with summer being the time to come for the most sun and activities.

SKIING
The 11,000 feet high Sierra Nevada mountains provide skiing from early Dec to the end of April- and sometimes later- at the resort of Pradollano (Sol y Nieve). It is about an hour and 20 mins drive from Almunecar.

If you’re feeling energetic you really can windsurf (or maybe just go to the beach) in the morning and ski in the afternoon! Pradollano is at 7,000 feet with a mid station at 9,000 feet. The top lift goes up to nearly 11,000 feet with great views of Granada, the Mediterannean and even North Africa on a clear day. There are about 25 lifts with around 70 runs. The skiing is good enough to have hosted the 1996 World Championships. It’s also a regular venue on the Snowboard World Cup circuit.
